Getting to and from the Conference:

Air Travel

San Francisco International Airport is the primary hub for many airlines to the West Coast.  You can access the conference by either choosing this airport (airport code: SFO) or through Oakland airport (OAK) or San Jose airport (SJC).

Ground Transportation

The San Francisco area is serviced by the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) system, which is a train that stops at many of the local hotspots.  It services both the San Francisco as well as Oakland airports.  To access directions to San Francisco State University from the airports, Click Here.  It will take you to the San Francisco State University Transit page which offers a number of links and methods to and from SFSU.

Additionally, SFSU offers some on-campus transportation options.

Click Here to discover the on-campus transportation options.

In addition the school offers a free shuttle from the Geary Street BART stations.

While BART is quick, convenient and easy, not everyone loves public transportation. Further, taxicabs are generally expensive. If you want an affordable and non-public transportation option, try Uber. Download the app to your phone. Sign up for an account. Once your account is established, ordering a car is easy. The app will find your location using the phone's GPS, tell it your destination and it will give you a waiting time and the price. You will be picked up by a qualified independent, fully insured drive and be delivered to your destination Tipping is not allowed.

Rush hour in San Francisco can be very difficult. Allow extra time to reach your destination between about 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM. There is often congestion outside these hours. Driving can be difficult and parking can be brutal.

Special thanks to the San Francisco State University for hosting the 2016 Division 32 Conference.
